**Summary of profile**

The primary focus is to ensure that proper hygiene practices and quality standards are maintained in the company in accordance with the HACCP, ISO and Food Safety Department. You will also be expected to monitor and maintain accurate records of food inventory and control relatedcosts, analyze inventory data, implement cost-saving measures, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and procedures. You will work closely with the Kitchen, operations, and finance teams to optimize inventory levels and maximize profitability.

To be successful in this role one must have a good understanding of organizations within the UAE, have proven work experience as a Quality Controller, Hygiene Officer or similar role within the food industry. Thorough knowledge of Procurement practices is a must.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Hygiene Compliances_
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, process, and products to identify potential hygiene and quality issues.
- Monitor and evaluate the organization's adherence to hygiene and quality standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Provide training to employees on proper hygiene practices, including proper handling of products, equipment sanitation, and personal hygiene.
- Promote awareness and understanding of hygiene and quality-related policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to hygiene and quality assurance activities, including inspection reports, audits, training records, and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper documentation for regulatory compliance purposes for HACCP and ISO approval.
- Quality Control:_
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure their compliance with hygiene and quality standards. Conduct regular assessments of suppliers' quality control processes, raw materials, and product specifications.
- Negotiate contracts and terms of agreements with suppliers to secure the best pricing and favourable terms and conditions. Monitoring the prices with different suppliers and being up to date with the UAE market.
- Arrange and manage proper store inventory following the company proper standard operating procedures.
- Conduct regular quality audits to assess compliance with quality management systems and industry-specific standards.
- Conduct proper trial and testing according to the SOP before changing suppliers.

**Work experience**
- Proven 2+ years of proven work experienceas a procurement professional in the F&B industry
- Proven 2+ years of experience in Hygiene officer or similar role in within the F&B industry
- Preferably with at least 2+ year of UAE market experience

**Educational qualifications**
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Food Science,Inventory & Procurement Management, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
- HACCP level 3 or higher compulsory requirement

**Essential skills & competencies required**
- Attention to detail

The ability to pay close attention to detail when conducting kitchen and facility safety inspections. This role demands being meticulous in audits of facilities, work areas, equipment and other important data to identify and address potential hygiene risk and ensure that the operation runs smoothly and more importantly - efficiently.

Strong critical thinking abilities will foster new ideas, develop effective strategies and come up with out-of-the-box solutions.
