Job Purpose

Developing and implementing a social media yearly strategy aligned with marketing plan, as well as managing day-to-day activity/performance for DIFC (Business & Destination) and Gate Avenue (Lifestyle) social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Creating the social media yearly strategy.
  • Copywriting for captions/posts, general content according to DIFC and Gate Avenue brands' voice and social strategy.
  • Build a content calendar (Social Media Bank of stories (static and video) across all DIFC platforms.
  • Draft visual briefs and Q&A's for video filming (business and retail interviews) on social media.
  • Draft written briefs from internal stakeholders (business and lifestyle) and reflect that into messages to go in the form of posts.
  • Create infographics to announce or amplify strategic news or themes on relevant platforms.
  • Building an influencer outreach programme and managing an influencer database fitting for DIFC and GA.

Management & Monitoring (community management)

  • Manage DIFC's and Gate Avenue's social media platforms to maintain and increase the level of engagement and interaction with the followership base catering to the interest of the different category of audiences.
  • Help with developing social media quarter and annual plans for DIFC and Gate Avenue.
  • Support DIFC internal stakeholders (different business departments) as well as external stakeholders (business clients and retailers) to ensure their activities are added to the overall plan and executed.
  • Day-to-day operation and managing of the DIFC and Gate Avenue social media, including re-active and pro-active responding to queries and comments from users and followers (part of community management role).
  • Work with 3rd party agencies, manage the design and production of all social media content.
  • Photoshoot requests approvals and DFTC permit guidance and clearance from DIFC.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Track and monitor social media metrics to gain insights on how we can increase followers, reach, engagement and online leads.
  • Prepare social media listening reports on the actual results vs progress of social media activity and campaigns.
  • Prepare benchmark reports to competitors and related businesses in the industry that DIFC and Gate Avenue operate in.

Campaigns & Events

  • Develop and execute social media coverage plans for events (business, destination and lifestyle).
  • Drive performance with performance or digital marketing expert to drive online leads. Plan, manage and deliver social media community campaigns to support retailers and businesses.
  • Pre, during and post coverage of DIFC and Gate Avenue events.
  • Creation and management of Podcast recording sessions and video shoots.

Learning & Development

  • Look at and explore new means/digital channels to maximize the exposure of DIFC and Gate Avenue beyond the known platforms (LI, TW, FB, IG, YT, etc.)
  • Provide insights of how social media can enhance and amplify marketing activities.

Supplier Relationships

  • Manage relationships with internal and external vendors (i.e. Social Media Agency, Photography and Videography vendors, Creative Agency, etc.)

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5 years relevant experience managing social media in-house or for an agency.
  • Ability to work independently and well with others; good knowledge of social media platforms and analytics tools in house and outsourced as Emplifi and Sprinklr.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing - Social Media focus (digital marketing).
