The role?
- Identify,pursue and secure profitable commercial opportunities forEnerMech
- Strategically position EnerMech as thetrusted partner for leading customers in theindustry
- Play a key role in shapingEnerMech's business planning and biddingpriorities
- Develop, maintain and extendprofitable commercial relationships
Main Responsibilities& Key Result Areas
- Lead customer identification andengagement to win new business opportunities aligned with thecorporate strategy, agreed business plan(s) and the BusinessForecasting Tools (BFTs)
- Establish, build,maintain and extend relationships with leading customerorganizations and industry partners (alliances) to achieve theagreed commercial targets
- Develop a reliableand visible pipeline of project opportunities (sales funnel) acrossthe full BD life cycle (customer ‘mapping', leadgeneration, opportunity qualification, opportunity pursuit andcapture as well as on-going account management andforecasting)
- Ensure that the appropriateCompany tools are fully utilized to manage and track customeraccounts.
- Provide input into opportunityqualification, win strategies, commercial discussions with directinput into and business development leadership ofbids
- Position EnerMech as an industry leader inthe service line / region to become the trusted partner of choicefor EnerMech customers' most importantprojects
- Shape the strategy and businessplan(s) for the region / business line /sector
- Develop and maintain an understanding ofpricing in relevant local markets for appropriate business lineactivities
- Represent EnerMech to customers,partners and to the wider market at industry events, throughthought leadership and via external strategic marketingcampaigns
- Harness and champion multiple areasof EnerMech's capability (technical or geographic) toachieve better outcomes (cross selling)
- Beactively involved in work winning throughout the entire bid process(identification to award and including post award) and inparticular be involved in the win strategy for any bid as requiredthrough the provision of criticalinput
- Collaborate closely withEnerMech's delivery capability to ensure this isconsistently delivering best practice and continuously beingimproved (more integrated, right first time, more efficient, lessrisk to the firm and more profitable)
- Initiateand provide input to specific marketing collateral and thoughtleadership material, including acting as a subject matter expertwherever possible
- Share knowledge on lessonslearnt (on bids and projects and through direct customer feedback)as well as key market trends with the widerorganization
- Identify opportunities forinnovation and business performanceimprovement
- Deliver a positive, consistentcorporate message - Business Development Managers represent the‘brand' internally to colleagues and externallyto the market
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate andsuccinct business development records andtools
- Lead by example; acting as an exemplarfor EnerMech's core values demonstrate a personalcommitment to QHSE best practice and ownership of thecompany's policies and procedures
Desired candidate profile
- Demonstrableunderstanding of the industrial services and engineering industrywith particular experience of the energy and infrastructuresectors.
- Demonstrable experience in developingand implementing target customer pursuit and key accountplans.
- An excellent understanding of theindustrial services and engineering industry with particularexperience of the energy and infrastructuresectors
- Primary Communication in English andsecondary Arabic
Preferred:
- Mechanical, electrical, engineeringor construction Degree or relevant technical qualification withindustry experience, a technical understanding and experience inProcess, Pipelines and valves Pre-commissioning, Commissioning andMaintenance would be advantageous
