Job Overview

As Governance Manager atEmirates NBD your role is to

  • Manage a team of governancespecialist to manage compliance queries operations risk andcontrols process improvement and training.
  • Represent Priority & Personal Bankingsegment for projects Consumer Protection Rights (CPR) Finacleexceptions management etc.
  • Ensuring efficiencyof existing Business Process & Improvements for thesegment.
  • Providing recommendation / guidanceon operational compliance & risk related matters.
  • Remain as a single point interface frompriority segment for investigations in relation to Legal/FraudCases Onepoint operational interface contact betweensegment and functions like fraud ops risk compliance legal branchnetwork.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a high level ofawareness regarding policy and procedure and fosteringcollaboration with customers Relationship Managers (RMs) centersand compliance teams.
  • Customer reviews or anyother projects. This involves close collaboration with Tanfeeth RMsCustomers compliance and relevant stakeholders to ensure preciseexecution.
  • Preparing and disseminatingManagement Information System (MIS) reports
  • Act as main point of contact for the segmentstaff and coordinate actions to provide all relevant support.
  • Assist Sr. Manager Governance in all ongoinggroup and team projects and any thematic reviews as identified
  • Maintaining a high level of awarenessregarding policy and procedure and fostering collaboration withcustomers Relationship Managers (RMs) centers and compliance teams
  • Execution of other compliance alerts as perunit requirements ensuring that they are carried out in strictadherence to policy and procedure. Any exceptions ordeviations must be promptly escalated to the approving authority inaccordance with the delegation matrix.

To be successful inthis role you will need the following skills and experience

  • University Degree inBusiness Finance Banking Economics or Equivalent would bepreferable.
  • 710 years in a Banking/ Financialindustry managing business risk operations policies &procedures
  • 3 5 years of experience in managinglarge teams.
  • Possess Fair knowledge of KYC& financial crime risks. External certificationslike ACAMs ICA or any other risk management learning courses wouldbe an added advantage.
