Aldar Training Academy iscurrently seeking a Manager Academy of Excellence andExtracurricular Activities to support our growing family of ownedand operated schools in the UAE. This role is based in AldarEducation HQ within the Aldar Training Academyteam.

To coordinate andsuccessfully implement the Academy of Excellence (AOE) programmeeach year in achieving its key aims and objectives for individualschools within the Aldar Education (AE) network through developinga highquality programme which effectively promotes and celebratesthe gifts and talents of students across theseschools.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree inEducation and/or Bachelors degree with postgraduate qualificationin education (eg.PGCE).

Minimum Experience:

• At least 2 years Middle orSenior leadership in a school or general educationsetting.

Main Duties:

Student Achievement andTalent Development

• Tocreate develop and implement an inclusive talent programme which isopen to primary and secondary aged students across AldarEducation.
• To work with relevant Coordinatorsand school teams to implement the inclusive talent programme whichwill include providing student talent workshops on a range ofactivities.
• To work with Coordinators todeliver appropriate ECA/ASAs for AE schools and to develop ongoingexternal partnership relationships with relevantproviders.
• To work with Coordinators to developand support the delivery of additional music lessons withappropriate external school providers outside school normalhours.
• To work with the Academic Director andthe financial team assigned to ATA to develop accurate financialbudgeting and costings for all student achievement activitiesresourcing and HR requirements to support incomegeneration.
• To work with AE departments asnecessary to accommodate requests (where possible) to showcasestudent performances through various initiatives asappropriate.
• To work with AE departments andexternal providers to implement the delivery of holiday camps andAE national and internationalcompetitions.

StudentEnrichment and Community Programmes

• To work with theCoordinators of the Academy of Excellence (AoE) and otherassociated academies (such as Sports PE Performing Arts andCreative Arts academies) to promote student achievementaccordingly.
• To work with Coordinators tocreate develop and implement a junior version of AoE for gifted andtalented junior students across AE schools.
• Towork with Coordinators school teams and where appropriate sportleads to support the AoE Sport Talent Identification andDevelopment Pathway and to support in the creation and delivery ofelite sports talent programmes camps andtours.
• Work with relevant teams to design andimplement wider community programmes. This will includecoordination of winter spring and summercamps.
• Oversee the production of termlynewsletters and develop social media opportunities to ensure widervisibility of our achievements across thecommunities.
• Work with the academy team topromote competitions and events including the end of year AoEpresentation awards ceremony.
• Maintain databaseof AoE students and their relativecontributions.
• Support the team with regards toadministrative duties including but not limited to liaison withmarketing finance HR.
• Be able to confidentlymeet with potential and current external businesses and supporttheir induction into the relative academy asappropriate.
• Actively seek sponsorshipopportunities from external business which will also developvaluable strategic partnerships with otherorganisations.
• To attend and take notes ofessential team meetings and support the academy coordinators withregards to actions thatfollow.

OtherResponsibilities

• To attendContinuous Professional Development (CPD) training asrequired
• To work with the ATA team and whereappropriate outside agencies (such as National Governing Bodies ofsports) in the development of appropriate staff training courses onstudent achievement and or school improvement asappropriate.
• Work closely with school leadersto support inspection preparation and outcomes related to studentachievement.
• To support the wider educationteam in meeting group strategic aims.
• Tosupport the School Review team with the internal Aldar Educationreview process as required.
• To lead by exampleand maintain a high standard of professionalism at alltimes.
• To participate in the Aldar Educationcontinuous performance review (appraisal) scheme and work towardsachieving and or exceeding of targets set including carrying outthe formal appraisal of appropriate staff.
• Toundertake and carry out any other such comparable dutiescommensurate with the grade of the post as required by your LineManager and/or the Directors ofEducation/Sports.

SpecificDuties:

• To create developand implement a junior AOE for younger students to promote andinclude the gifts and talents of all students within AEschools.
• To develop a comprehensive talentprogramme open to all AE schools to promote and celebrate studentsachievement across a range of subjectspecialisms.
• To coordinate the talent agencynewsletter highlighting student achievements across the AE networkof schools.
• To have oversight ofextracurricular activities (ECAs) and afterschool activities (ASAs)within the AE schools and to quality assure school offerings and tobroker where possible partnerships with the best providersculminating in school recitals and competitions whereappropriate.
• To coordinate and oversee thepromotion of additional specialist lessons for AE schools bypartnering with established and new providers whereappropriate.
• To continue to support HQdepartments who require AE students to showcase their talents forspecific events throughout the year.
• Toestablish the creation and development of holiday camps andcompetitions across AE and externally and with external partnerswhere appropriate.
• To promote ATA and raise itsprofile in Abu Dhabi and beyond.
• To model thevalues and vision of Aldar Education.
• To be arole model to staff and students.
• To have highexpectations of all staff andstudents.
• Identify professional developmentneeds for yourself of those you line manage or work with andaddress with CPD.
• To undertake and carry outany other such comparable duties commensurate with the grade of thepost as required by your Line Manager Academic Director ATA SchoolImprovement Partner and /or the Directors of Education as theyoccur.
