The ideal candidate is a hungry, career driven individual who can manage tight deadlines, will strive to improve processes, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and will act with a sense of urgency.
The Proposal Manager supports the Capture + Proposal Marketing function by performing duties which include leading proposal development and production; executing direct marketing initiatives; and providing additional sales/business development, vendor management and market research leadership as needed regionally. You will be aligned with the Strategy and Business Development team and Operations Teams to support major opportunities and proposals, develop marketing collateral and manage client prequalification submissions. Your role contributes to the marketing strategy, business development activity and programs for your region, helping to increase Jensen Hughes overall win rate.
This position may be located in Riyadh, Al Khobar, Dubai or Doha.Responsibilities Lead proposal activities for must-win pursuits.
Organizes, produces and assembles proposal submissions including RFI’s, RFQ’s, RFP’s, SOQ’s, PQQ’s and Vendor Registrations.
Develops, produces and assembles marketing support materials (i.e., qualification packages, proposals).
Coordinates strategic client vendor procurement, registration and management with various departments as needed.
Contributes to building a repository of proposal materials specific to regional needs.
Updates client and project information in the marketing project and personnel database – Cosential, including project descriptions, staff resume updates and other shared knowledge used by the proposal team.
Adheres to established proposal and knowledge management templates, quality standards and Jensen Hughes Brand guidelines.
Creates proposal templates and trains operations and technical staff on the proper use of those templates.
Collaborates with the Creative Team to obtain project and stock imagery for proposal submissions.
Works with the Proposal Leader, business development and technical teams to lead specific marketing activities or other initiatives as needed.
Supports marketing campaign and collateral development and execution.
Assists in other marketing and/or business development areas as requested or assigned. Requirements and Qualifications To set you up for success in this role from day one (at a minimum) the following qualifications/experience are required
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university essential OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
5-7 or more years of related experience in similar industry or in engineering/building industry B2B business/industry.
Prior experience with architecture, engineering or construction (AEC) firm is preferred.
Prior experience managing proposals is required.
Proficient in MS office suites – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams. Proficiency in MS Planner is a plus; as well as proficient in Adobe and InDesign.
Ability to manage and execute responses to RFP’s, RFI’s, RFQ’s based on market knowledge.
Experience managing a high-volume of teaming requests (Jensen Hughes is often a subconsultant on a larger A/E team) and client-specific templates (most often in InDesign). Ability to manage multiple proposals and deadlines, by evaluating changing business and conditions, and requesting support as needed to meet deadlines.
Experience managing technical authors and proposal documentation to ensure compliance with client requirements and meet submission deadlines, including deliverables checklists and proposal outlines.
Experience with proposal writing including executive summaries and section introductions.
Experience collecting data from a variety of stakeholders and functional business areas, including project managers, contracts/legal, human resources, compliance and finance to generate proposals within respective region.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Proficiency in English at an advanced level is a must, particularly in the context of writing to publishing standards. Ability to craft well-articulated and polished content is crucial to this role.
Ability to clearly articulate thoughts to team members and clients – both internal and external.
Exceptional attention to detail, quality control review and proofreading skills required.
Possesses a thorough understanding and ability to support marketing and business development activities within various industries and client types, as needed for the region, practice, vertical market, or service line.
Occasional flexibility to work extended hours to accommodate deliverables may be required.
