Assistant General Manager

Responsibilities
As the Assistant General Manager, you will be instrumental in managing operations and boosting team effectiveness. Your role will encompass the creation and execution of commercial initiatives aimed at fostering growth. Building and nurturing relationships with essential stakeholders will be vital for reaching commercial objectives. A key aspect of your position will be to maintain a robust emphasis on customer satisfaction and service excellence. Additionally, you will aid in shaping our overarching strategy, particularly focusing on regional development and expansion.
- Guarantee seamless and effective operations in collaboration with the COO
- Establish and sustain connections with clients, partners, and regulatory bodies
- Meet established commercial targets regarding volume and profit margins
- Prioritize customer satisfaction and service quality
- Contribute to the formulation of the company’s strategic direction, emphasizing regional growth and expansion
- Oversee project initiatives across sales, marketing, and order-to-cash teams
- Manage daily logistics operations to fulfill operational goals and standards
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Assistant General Manager role will possess extensive experience across various sectors within B2B organizations. Holding an International MBA or an equivalent qualification, you have refined your expertise over a decade in international commodity sales and distribution. Your managerial background spans a minimum of five years, with experience in Asian markets being a plus. Familiarity with polymers, petrochemicals, or polymer products will be an added advantage. You have a solid grasp of international sales and distribution processes and are prepared to leverage this knowledge in a new and stimulating environment.
- 10-15 years of relevant multifunctional experience in B2B enterprises (3-5 years in a management capacity)
- International MBA or equivalent degree in business administration, management, sales, or a related field
- Over 10 years in B2B international commodity sales and distribution (marketing, sales, finance)
- 5+ years in leadership roles, with experience in Asian markets
- Experience with polymers, petrochemicals, and/or polymer products is advantageous
- Strong understanding of international sales and distribution business processes (logistics, documentation, trade finance, etc.)
