Role Summary

We're seeking a Managing Director to lead our business in the Middle East, driving growth and expansion in the region. This role will be critical in the successful growth of our MENA business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales: Drive new client business development, activate and grow existing clients, and build a local sales team.
  • Talent: Work with our talent and community team to grow our talent community in the market, in line with demand trends.
  • Operating Model: Work with operations and client servicing to ensure the necessary operating model is in place.
  • Marketing: Grow our brand with the support of marketing and PR, establishing Outsized as the solution of choice for our chosen customers.
Role Scope

The Managing Director will be responsible for leading the Outsized business in MENA, with overall ownership of the Middle East P/L. The MD will be supported by marketing, customer service, and operations teams, as well as the CEO and CRO.

New Client Development
  • Drive the growth of active enterprise clients that align to our target client segments, sectors, and geographies.
  • Lead all activities from lead generation through to onboarding of new clients, including signing of MSAs and coordination of procurement and empanelment.
  • Lead GTM activities associated with entering new sectors and geographies.
  • Ensure successful activation of new clients and establishment of a strategic partnership that delivers mutual value.
Existing Client Development
  • Work with BDMs to help define and agree client-specific sales targets and develop and maintain existing client account plans, detailing strategies and initiatives to drive growth and meet business plans.
  • Track the performance of client-specific campaigns, initiatives, and plans to drive sales. Work with BDMs to flex and adapt activities based on ROI and through hypothesis testing.
  • Grow awareness of the Outsized value proposition across client organizations (locations, functions, teams) and ensure core solutions are understood and utilized.
  • Help to promote, sell, build, and develop the 'Talent Bench' offering that graduates clients from 'talent on demand' to a strategic enterprise-wide engagement model.
Building the Business
  • Define, own, and execute the MENA GTM and take P/L ownership.
  • Support operations team with local guidance on business set-up in the region.
  • Work with marketing and PR to define the marketing plan, provide local market insights to support campaign, content, and collateral development, and be the face and voice of the business to support awareness and brand building through effective storytelling.
  • Work with the regional talent and community lead to define the target talent personas and skill segments.
  • Work with the regional client servicing and BDM team to ensure adequate capacity is in place to support the MENA business.
Requirements
  • 10-15 years of experience in a B2B/enterprise sales or growth-focused leadership roles in growth markets across APAC (services or technology sales) with proven capability of winning enterprise-scale deals and navigating the end-to-end enterprise sales lifecycle.
  • Some entrepreneurial, venture-building, or innovation experience is a huge plus, as well as a passion for building products, services, and businesses that solve problems.
  • Domain experience in human capital, consulting, or talent sectors is a bonus but not essential.
  • A strong and proven existing network in the region with leadership-level stakeholders at large enterprises.
  • Proven expertise in growing and developing large-scale enterprise client accounts and delivering against revenue targets.
  • A passion for developing a deep understanding of client needs and delivering true value and great experiences.
  • Strong commercial skills with a comfort in working with numbers and a focus on creating and demonstrating tangible value for both clients and the business.
  • Able to independently develop sales collaterals, pitch to C-suite level customers, manage commercial negotiations, and close contracts/deals.
  • Strong and engaging communicator, with proficiency in English and experience of dealing with senior-level stakeholders at large MNC organizations.
  • Creative thinker able to generate and execute innovative ideas.
  • People person, energized by connecting and engaging with new people from a variety of cultural backgrounds and building rapport.
  • Comfortable working with data and commonly used sales tools and technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office core product suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Location

This role requires someone who is based in the Middle East, with a willingness to travel to clients based across the region.
