Job Description

Job Title: Director of Sales

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to join our team at Accor. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our sales efforts and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the European market, with a focus on Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Scandinavia, and France.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a sales strategy to maximize revenue growth, including managing tour operators and luxury market agents.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, including interviewing, selecting, and recruiting direct reports, identifying and developing team members with potential, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including developing and growing business with tour operators in the European market.
  • Communication: Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours, and customer meetings to promote our brand and drive sales.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor team members' performance, attitude, and degree of professionalism, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Talent & Culture function to ensure effective hiring, training, motivating, coaching, counseling, and development of team members.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with a high-end luxury resort or hotel, and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience with tour operators in the European market.
  • Language: German or French language skills are a plus.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience with 2 years of experience managing a team.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to develop and grow business, with a strong understanding of the hospitality industry and market trends.
