About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team in the United Arab Emirates. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring meeting financial targets within the framework of Carrier's code of Ethics, EH&S, and Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate inquiries through market visits to contractors, consultants, end-users, FM companies, and create Controls/BMS maintenance contracts and project opportunities meeting customers' needs.
  • Forecast and achieve sales and booking for the month, following up on quotation status with customers, understanding their requirements, and coordinating with application engineers to fulfill customer needs.
  • Obtain factory/supplier prices by completing formalities and required documents, reviewing standard sales contracts, and reaching agreement with customers (payment, LC, warranty, etc.). Follow the approval process.
  • Review and transition sales orders with costing to the Controls Operations Team in coordination with Finance for sales order approval, following payment terms guidelines and payment conditions as instructed by the Finance Department, and assisting in collections.
  • Participate in weekly/monthly meetings for sales review, aging, and collection, reviewing and approving costings sheets and quotations according to the approval matrix, and reviewing monthly online backlog reports.
  • Ensure customers are periodically updated on the latest software catalogs and information from Carrier, creating quotations in line with specifications, performing technical submittals and clarifications with order finalization in coordination with the sales manager, and ensuring proper invoicing is being issued by sales coordinators.
  • Follow up on delivery processes with logistics, payment, and collection terms in coordination with the Finance Department.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • At least 45 years of relevant experience in the same or similar industry, preferably in the UAE.
  • Thorough knowledge of the market and HVAC Controls/BMS products/Chiller Plant Manager.
  • Total Quality Management and ISO Process & Procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with excellent negotiation and computer skills.
