Key Responsibilities
  1. Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth legal research on various areas of law relevant to the product, including but not limited to, regulatory changes, case law, and statutory updates.
  2. Data Annotation & Curation: Assist in the identification and annotation of legal documents, contracts, and other relevant materials to train and refine AI models.
  3. Collaboration with Product Team: Work closely with product managers and ML engineers to ensure legal accuracy and relevance in the AI-generated outputs.
  4. Subject Matter Expertise: Provide deep domain knowledge in specific legal areas, such as contract law, litigation, or corporate law.
  5. Model Evaluation and Refinement: Participate in the testing and validation of AI features, ensuring that legal interpretations and recommendations align with industry standards.
  6. User Feedback Integration: Analyze user feedback to identify areas of improvement in the AI's legal reasoning and suggest enhancements.
  7. Documentation: Create detailed documentation of research methodologies, legal sources, and reasoning behind legal interpretations to support transparency and auditability.
  8. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in AI research and their potential applications in the legal field.
Requirements
  1. Juris Doctor degree or equivalent legal qualification.
  2. 3+ years of experience in legal research, preferably within a corporate, law firm, or legal tech environment.
  3. Strong understanding of legal principles, case law, and statutory interpretation. Experience in multiple jurisdictions is a plus.
  4. Familiarity with legal and regulatory environments in the UAE is a significant advantage.
  5. Familiarity with legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis), and experience with legal tech tools or AI applications is highly desirable.
  6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex legal information.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
  8. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  9. Interest or experience in AI, machine learning, or technology-driven legal solutions.
  10. Proficiency in Arabic is mandatory.
