Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and maintain comprehensive financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
  • Generate precise and timely financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and promptly address any discrepancies.
  • Assist in developing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure adherence to UAE financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Accurately process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documentation.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Offer support and guidance to other departments regarding financial procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 1 year of accounting experience within the retail sector.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Filipino is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with VAT compliance and reporting in the UAE.
  • Familiarity with retail-specific financial processes and challenges.
