This company has emerged as one of the most successful business entities in the retail industry within the region. We are seeking a qualified Beauty/Cosmetic Buyer based in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

* Formulate the buying plan in line with market trends, sell through, seasonal demands, and consumer preferences.
* Plan and select the range, type, quality, and quantity of merchandise in conjunction with the Division Merchandising Manager/GM.
* Carry out purchasing activities in line with the brand purchase plans.
* Maintain profitable relationships with existing suppliers and monitor adherence to contract terms.
* Negotiate with new suppliers on product pricing, payment terms, cost of freight, provision of training, and involvement in advertising and promotions.
* Monitor stock levels in stores and coordinate with the supply chain to maintain optimal stock levels in line with consumer demand.
* Support promotional activities in the store.
* Receive and analyze reports on activities and provide recommendations to the DMM/GM/Planning when required.
* Proactively work with training to ensure product knowledge is up to date and all staff are knowledgeable on new products/trends.
* Review buying feedback reports and provide recommendations to DMM/GM on buying strategy for respective brands/collections.
* Prepare periodic reports analyzing sale turnover and consumer trends per product to arrive at a decision to maintain/liquidate/dispose off stocks and/or continue/discontinue product lines.
* Provide leadership and direction to colleagues towards the achievement of goals and objectives.

Key Requirements:

* Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Beauty Buyer with a focus on Japan, Korea, or Thailand cosmetic markets.
* University Degree in any discipline followed by qualification in Retailing or Retail Management/Purchase/Sales or related programs.
* Excellent planning, financial, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Keen to travel and develop network of professional and business relationships.
