As a Regional Sales Director - MEA, you will be responsible for leading the bank's sales efforts in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. You will work closely with the Global Markets Sales Team to develop and execute strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets, while building long-term sustainable relationships with clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sales Performance: Deliver agreed sales and revenue targets across the Global Markets division, with a focus on Financial Institutions in the MEA region.
  • Cross-Sell Opportunities: Identify and cultivate opportunities for cross-selling within the sectors and geographies assigned to the role.
  • Relationship Building: Establish long-term sustainable relationships with clients, positioning First Abu Dhabi Bank as a regional leader in the industry.

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Culture Development: Enhance cross-border execution migration of best practices across all sales teams, driving a result-oriented and transparent global performance culture.
  • Talent Development: Develop leadership talent for the team and the bank as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Ensure adherence to all Global Markets Sales requirements across clients, aligned with First Abu Dhabi Bank's regulatory compliance and best practice standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with members of the Global Markets Sales Team, supporting as required to achieve business objectives.
  • Issue Escalation: Ensure client/internal/monetary impacting issues are escalated appropriately to line management within suitable timeframes.
  • Event Participation: Participate in client events, forums, and off-site events as required.
  • Cross-Selling Optimization: Maximize optimization of customer flow activity and cross-selling opportunities to produce best-in-class flow to support the Global Markets business.
  • Coverage and Segment Coverage: Provide coverage and segment coverage, including Sovereigns, Financial Institutions, and Non-Bank Financial Institutions, as required by the assigned line manager.
  • Flow Sales Credit or Macro Flow: Work in the capacity of a flow sales credit or macro flow, covering FX (G10/EM), Deposits, Loans, Repos, Credit, FXO (G10/EM), IRS, TRS, eCommerce, Commodities, Equities, Other Derivatives, Islamic Products, and Others, as required by the assigned line manager.
  • Geographical Coverage: Provide geographical coverage, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, London, Paris, Singapore, Cairo, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, and Others, as required by the assigned line manager.

Qualifications:

  • Nationality: UAE National
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience working in global markets or treasury departments in local or international banking
