About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to join our team at Conrad Dubai. As a key member of our hotel's leadership team, you will be responsible for directing the efforts of our operational team members towards achieving exceptional guest satisfaction, team member productivity, and hotel profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence
    • Observe and evaluate the performance of operational team members, conducting regular room inspections and developing action plans to address areas for improvement.
    • Track progress and follow up to ensure all areas meet or exceed established standards.
    • Oversee the Brand Standards audit and ensure compliance across all relevant areas.
  • Quality and Service
    • Implement and manage the hotel's daily quality process, including goal communication, team member empowerment, and compliance with Hilton Brand Standards.
    • Disseminate feedback from comment cards, guest satisfaction, and service failure measurements, and coach team members accordingly.
    • Ensure efficient communication to all operations team members.
  • Leadership and Development
    • Coach, motivate, and develop all managers and team members, providing guidance on profitability assessment and procedures.
    • Manage and review daily, weekly, and monthly department budgets and costs.
  • Project Management
    • Coordinate major capital projects and property improvement plans (PIPs) involving various departments, providing guidance until project completion.
    • Implement processes in a timely fashion and follow up with appropriate parties to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Financial Analysis
    • Analyze monthly statements of operations and prepare written comments for the General Manager's review.
  • Committee Leadership
    • Lead the Travel With Purpose Committee, conducting monthly meetings and following the annual calendar of events and activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications, attitudes, behaviors, skills, and values:

  • A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.
  • Requires the exercise of considerable managerial skills, including decision-making, meeting deadlines, negotiations, analytical ability, and planning, organizational development, and coordination of large-scale work projects.
  • Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting results.
  • In-depth knowledge in all areas of hotel management.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high levels of performance and exceed targets.
Desirable Capabilities

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Knowledge of hotel property management systems.
  • Previous experience in the same or similar role.
