Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Business Development Manager at Talent Pal, you will be responsible for building strong relationships within the allocated region to identify global opportunities and attract new trade and investment to the GCC region and its business units. Your primary goal will be to execute the business development plan, seeking new business opportunities for all DP World BUs, contributing towards our business development and sales efforts.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify business opportunities in line with DP World GCC Region strategy
  • Develop a portfolio of accounts to offer them a range of (tailor-made) solutions
  • Screen potential new business opportunities by firming up business ideas in brief initial commercial feasibility studies and financials
  • Prepare presentations to management and recommendations for approvals
  • Conduct analysis on business opportunities highlighting areas of concern and reasons behind it for discussion and decision-making with management

Additional Responsibilities

  • Compile and provide analytical reports on business prospects for the GCC region from international companies based in targeted regions, including industry types and leading commodities
  • Tender management, including driving the RFI response, dissecting and reviewing tender documents, and validating summaries
  • Calculating relative and absolute profit estimates per service component for sign-off by management
  • Defining and driving project plans for tenders and communicating same to stakeholders
  • Customer acquisition, including identifying new business prospects and maintaining a sales pipeline
  • Conducting regular prospective visits to customers in targeted businesses
  • Establishing customer relationships by hosting social and informal meetings for customer satisfaction
  • Establishing and maintaining relations with embassies, their consulates, and business attaches in the UAE and outside

  • Commercial Business Acumen: Understanding the business, utilizing in-depth knowledge of DP World's business model and operations to drive high-impact projects and complex analysis that supports the organization's mission
  • Innovation: Innovative and conceptual thinking, examining numerous potential ideas against DP World's organizational goals and seeking new projects and opportunities to stay one step ahead in the industry

  • Knowledge of industry elements, demonstrating advanced understanding of the industry and its performance by remaining current on leading trends and interacting with industry stakeholders
