The Coordinator communicates effectively with patients and clinical staff in a professional manner through various channels including phone and in-person interactions. Additionally, this role supports clinical staff with essential administrative functions.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare environment

Scheduling Requirements

  • Day Shift
  • Rotating weekends and holidays
  • Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcomes and assists patients upon their arrival at the facility
  • Conducts patient intake by verifying identification, ensuring safety, and collecting medical history
  • Identifies and addresses patient care needs based on age and provides relevant education regarding procedures
  • Manages appointment scheduling and maintains the appointment calendar
  • Handles incoming calls and addresses patient inquiries
  • Processes and confirms insurance information
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Assists with various administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and scanning
  • Facilitates communication among healthcare team members, patients, and their families
  • Utilizes effective communication skills with patients and their families
  • Reports collected data and observations to the nursing staff promptly
  • Ensures patient confidentiality is upheld
  • Completes special projects as assigned by the Director or other department leaders in a professional manner
  • Adheres to HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
