Business Development Manager - Arabic Speaker

Edelman is a leading communications agency that values trust, creativity, and collaboration. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in the UAE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing new business strategies to drive growth and revenue. This will involve working closely with the Operations Team to identify new opportunities, build relationships with clients, and manage the new business process.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Arabic language skills are essential for this role, as the candidate will be required to communicate with clients and stakeholders in Arabic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new business strategies to drive growth and revenue
  • Work closely with the Operations Team to identify new opportunities and manage the new business process
  • Build relationships with clients and stakeholders to drive business growth
  • Manage and complete detailed prospective Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Procurement (RFPs)
  • Track agency wins and losses and review performance, conversion rate, and costs
  • Partner with the marketing lead on all efforts relating to events, awards, and case studies
  • Partner with the resourcing and senior leadership team on all efforts relating to staffing projects, new wins, and existing client remits

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years' experience within an agency environment - Middle East experience in a hybrid communications and operations role would be a bonus
  • Advanced written and spoken English, as well as Arabic is necessary
  • Proven business development experience
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, namely PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional management skills
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strategic thinker
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and persuasive
  • Strong influencing ability and gravitas for internal and external engagement
