Job Title: Accounting and Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

The Intesa Sanpaolo Group is seeking a highly skilled Accounting and Operations Specialist to support the Accounting and Operations Managers in various tasks related to their areas of activity. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting functions, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring smooth operational processes within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records and local regulatory reports.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Bank Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Journal Entries: Prepare journal entries and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, and support the preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports.
  • Internal and External Audits: Participate in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Transaction Processing: Ensure timely and error-free transaction processing comprising remittances, loans, deposits, Trade Finance, and Treasury Operations transactions.
  • Operational Policies and Procedures: Assist in the implementation and monitoring of operational policies and procedures.
  • Operational Metrics and Performance Indicators: Monitor and report on key operational metrics and performance indicators.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant banking regulations and internal policies.
  • Operational Risk Management: Assist in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational risks.
  • Industry Standards and Regulatory Requirements: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Service: Meet the required quality standards for customer service (internal & external).
  • Business Unit Support: Ensure support and coordination between the business unit and the back office units.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Accounting and Operations Managers.
  • Transaction Records: Maintain organized and accurate records of all transactions and operations.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Accounting Principles and Banking Operations: Good understanding of accounting principles and banking operations.
  • Teamwork and Communication Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
