Job Summary

ENGIE Middle East is seeking a highly skilled Building Management System (BMS) Operator to join our team. As a BMS Operator, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the BMS system, ensuring its proper function and monitoring the Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) against approved benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain BMS System: Ensure the BMS system is functioning correctly and efficiently, and perform routine checks on all control equipment as directed by the Facility Engineer.
  • Monitor HVAC Control Systems: Use the BMS/DCIM to monitor the performance of the HVAC control systems and adjust variables as required to ensure systems are operating correctly within parameters.
  • Record and Analyze Data: Monitor and record values of HVAC systems to build up a database of records to provide data for energy efficiency improvement.
  • Communicate Maintenance Actions: Communicate all maintenance and repair actions in writing for information to management as required.
  • Follow Protocols: Follow established protocols in case of unexpected technical difficulties or other problems that may arise.
  • Monitor Field Devices: Monitor and verify the operation of all BMS/DCIM field devices.
  • Adjust BMS Settings: Adjust BMS settings and parameters to meet changing conditions, such as load, environmental, customer needs, etc.
  • Record Maintenance Data: Record maintenance data and generate reports as needed.
  • Maintain Job Card Documentation: Maintain job card documentation for all alarms or changes to systems and/or equipment.
  • Monitor Fire Detection Alarms: Monitor the fire detection alarm system, including smoke detectors, heat detectors, sprinklers, and emergency exits, in coordination with the Safety Function.
  • Monitor Water Tank Supply Level Alarms: Monitor the water tank supply level alarm, air handling unit, fresh air handling unit, and other critical systems.
  • Monitor and Control Fire Pump System: Monitor and control the fire pump system, motors, sewage pump, electrical system, and water system in the Data Center building.
  • Perform Miscellaneous Tasks: Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Facility Engineer.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in BMS operation and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
