Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive style vision for Dazed, aligning with the brand's values and aesthetic.
  • Direct and manage shoots, advertorials, and other editorial content, ensuring a consistently high standard of quality.
  • Manage a team of freelance stylists and photographers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful collaborations.
  • Coordinate with the license holder to obtain materials for print, ensuring timely and efficient production.
  • Manage the freelance style section budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
  • Develop editorial talking points for the title, highlighting key themes and trends.
  • Contribute daily stories to online platforms, showcasing your expertise and creativity.
  • Act as the title's ambassador at industry events, representing Dazed and ITP Media Group with professionalism and flair.
  • Flatplan each style section and any relevant supplements, including the Big Black Book, ensuring a cohesive and engaging visual experience.
  • Contribute to the subediting process of the magazine, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to write across a range of non-style related topics in an authentic voice, showcasing your versatility and creativity.
Requirements
  • Four to five years relevant in-house editorial experience as stylist and writer.
  • Subediting skills and InDesign experience.
  • An outstanding portfolio of style and lifestyle articles.
  • Superlative organisation and time management skills.
  • A strong desire to live and work in Dubai.
