Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement

**Principal responsibilities**
- Partner with business leaders to create and design effective people plans which drive strategic workforce solutions that contribute to business profitability & competitiveness, whilst ensuring alignment to the HR Priorities
- Drive and own the Talent management agenda developing key and business critical talent, identifying and debating successors for key positions, ensuring continual focus on diversity
- Coaching and Development for business leaders, facilitating provocative discussion, building leadership capability and authenticity
- Career planning of the staff in the Bank and reorganizing staff structures to optimize our staff resources more effectively
- Ensures compensation and benefits package for staff fall within appropriate group policy guidelines.
- Ensures to work closely with the regulator and labor office
- Maintains effective and efficient administration of staff records and systems
- Represents HR in functional and entity governance forums
- Manages/executes HR operations and acts as first line of defense for the HR function
- Contributes to the bank's operational effectiveness
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards
- Delivers fair outcomes for our customers and ensures own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets

Requirements

**To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR
- Good experience in the Human Resources administration
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience in building, training, motivating and managing staff
- Knowledge of the labor laws and other relevant regulations
- Fluent in Arabic and English is necessary
- Knowledge of human resource principle and how they relate to the management and administration of the staff in an organization
- Good reasoning & judgment skills
- Good knowledge of the end-to-end process for the HR administration and management
- Good numerical skills
- Able to work as an individual contributor while acting as the senior business partner for the HR function
- Preference is for Omani nationals
