What You’ll Do
Teradata is looking for a channel sales executive to manage countries in Midle east Africa that is led by distributors to grow our vantage pipelines leading to sales closure. The channel sales executive will execute joint offerings with distributors working closely with our analytics industry team and to oversee all deals leveraging on Teradata and partner program, assets and resources. The channel sales executive is to create demand generation resulting in new growth to our multi-cloud data platform. In addition, the executive is to plan enablement and distributor’s skill certification to support and implement the analytics solution base on our Vantage platform. The success of this role is the revenue growth expected from countries managed by our distributors.
Who You’ll Work With
This position requires a thought leader that can manage multiple touch points and create strong relationships across the organization and the extended partner team and work collaboratively to support the success of our business in these countries that are led by our partners. The channel sales executive will work with cross functional teams such as sales engineers, analytics & industry sales specialists, customer success and renewal team and partner program team. This position reports to the MEA VP.
A bachelor’s degree (graduate degree a plus) as well as 10 years’ experience in managing complex relationships with one or more of the following skills:
A strong understanding of and practical experience in Analytics and AI specifically within high-tech at both a strategic, tactical and operational level.
People management skill
Strategy, business planning formulation and execution experience, with measurable result.
Experience managing complex relationships across multiple levels and disciplines.
Ability to manage a complex selling environment where objectives between the Partner and Teradata may not always be aligned.
High degree of executive presence; proven ability and experience to operate effectively at senior management and C-executive levels.
What You’ll Bring
Applicants must have a proven track record in product and analytics solution campaign management or experience working with regional Systems Integrators/Consulting, resellers and distributors. The role includes identification of solution campaign working with or through the partners, including growth within existing Teradata accounts, management of the campaign sales cycle and engagement process to gain agreement with requisite stakeholders on execution. The applicant must be able to develop presentations and materials, support sales calls and maintain up to date best practices on campaign management. The role will require exceptional interpersonal skills, strong strategic sense and a deep understanding of our Teradata strategies and business model.
