Commercial Manager

We’re seeking highly skilled commercial managers to join our team, who has a minimum 10 years’ experience in Joinery & Fit out, especially high end residential and commercial projects:
**Responsibilities**:
- This role will identify scope and cost estimate of high end residential projects’ fit-out interiors
- Ensure all direct and indirect cost is correctly prepared and costed
- Gather, review, and analyse pricing data
- Propose changes to cost estimating initiatives to reduce project costs and improve efficiencies;
- Take part in bid initiation & review meetings for bids;
- Manage documentation including budgets
- Review and closely monitor project schedule and design to ensure cost estimate, schedule and budget objectives are met
- Proven skills in procurement, negotiation, basic accounting, and contract analysis
- Lead estimation department
- Negotiate with clients, customers and suppliers to maximise the ROI of the company
- Coordinate with the team and give regular updates on the progress of various projects
- Maintain reports and records of the budgets, expenses and revenue that fall under the commercial manager job role
- Support the other departments with queries about commercial processes as a commercial manager
- Manage commercial risks and devise strategies to overcome them
- Interim valuations and payment certificates
- Lead Quantity Surveyors in the tender and post-contract function
- Cost planning and commercial management throughout the entire life cycle of the project from post tender till completion
- Leading team to set up risk, value management and cost control functions
- Has wide experience in market prices for similar projects fit out and interiors
- Reporting to higher management on all commercial issues
- Must have previous experience of FIDIC Contracts
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to proactively identify next steps and work productively with limited supervision;
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to organize and maintain a fluid administrative process;
- Strong technical, commercial and quantitative analytical skills;
- Strong business acumen and demonstrated project management skills;
Required skills and qualifications
- Experience as a commercial manager, or as an assistant commercial manager
- Acquaintance with business development or marketing
- Must have a minimum education qualification of Bachelor’s degree in related field from recognized university
- Minimum 5 to 7 years post & pre contracts, and commercial management
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to think strategically
- Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills. High communication skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication and time management skills
- Familiarity with project management
- Prior experience in a leadership role
- Ability to work under pressure independently as a commercial manager
Skillset to develop and foster relationships with clients, suppliers, and customers
