In September 2022, the Cognita Middle East team established a partnership with The Sparkle Foundation, which has developed into a region-wide strategy allowing us to embed these principles across the work we engage with within schools and the communities we serve. To expand this thriving partnership and significantly enhance the strategic coordination of our joint efforts, we are seeking a Social Impact Coordinator who will be instrumental in driving the initiative’s continued effectiveness and exploring additional environmental and social initiatives in the future.

**About The Sparkle Foundation**

The Sparkle Foundation is a forward-thinking charity dedicated to creating a future where every community in Malawi can access equal opportunities for health, education, and self-sufficiency. With a deep commitment to understanding the specific needs of the communities they serve, The Sparkle Foundation operates on an innovative, sustainable, and replicable model of charity that stands apart for its integrated approach to development. Their work is structured around four interdependent pillars: Education, Health, Nutrition, and Community Support.

**Position Title**:Social Impact Coordinator

**Salary and benefits**: AED 10,000 per month. Visa and comprehensive medical insurance provided.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Fundraising Leadership:
Support, develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies alongside schools and the regional Middle East team that align with both Cognita's and The Sparkle Foundation's missions.
Support the organisation of campaigns, regional and school events to secure fundraising targets for ongoing and new projects with The Sparkle Foundation.
Engage with a broad spectrum of donors and sponsors to generate support where appropriate.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the central liaison between Cognita schools, The Sparkle Foundation, and the wider community.
Foster relationships and enhance visibility to ensure all stakeholders are informed and engaged with the partnership's activities and goals.

Community Impact:
Monitor and report on the partnership's outcomes.
Translate activities into compelling stories that demonstrate the impact on the communities served.
Promote a culture of transparency and continuous improvement by highlighting successes and learning opportunities.

Internal Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with Cognita's marketing and communications teams to maximise the initiative's profile.
Share inspiring stories of volunteerism, development, and fundraising.

Volunteer Coordination:
Establish and maintain a robust volunteer program.
Empower Cognita staff and students to contribute meaningfully to The Sparkle Foundation's efforts.
Enhance the sense of purpose and collective efficacy within the school communities.

**Experience**:
Experience in fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and/or community impact roles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
A passion for social impact and community development.
