2. JOB PURPOSE:
**The Data Platform & IoT Specialist plays a key role in the technological transformation of the company.**

**That is where our journey starts and, taking that opportunity from the beginning, you will get the opportunity of defining, using your skills, tomorrow's company. Data is one of the most important IT assets and making right choices deeply impacts the success of any project. Such data will need to be collected specially through IoT ecosystem. Accordingly, this profile will also need to be an IoT Platform specialist in order to lead the strategy and development of a robust and innovative Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem, including platform requirements definition, customer experience (e.g. digital touch points, service concept) and market strategies.**

4. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Description
**- In particular, **define the detailed** **structure **for the different storage layers that build the **Data Platform**: An **HTAP** with **LDAP** and **OLAP** capabilities.**:
**- Define and supervise the **construction of the building blocks** that allow: Ingestion, **Harmonization**, **KPI´s** construction and **data **(row data, transactional data, KPI´s or analytics) usages, including supporting the archiving processes into **cold storage layers**.**:
**- Guarantee that **data structures** are **evolving coherently** and meet new **business requirements**.**:
**- **Long term vision** and data structures maintainability and scalability.**:
**- Assure adherence to the company **cyber security policies.**:
**- Define/implement/maintain **data transformation pipelines.**:
**- Define/implement **secure access to data.**:
**- Define/implement Backup/restore and High Availability/disaster **recovery policies.**:
**- Leading the **IoT ecosystem** and services.**:
**- Coordinate company **IoT program.**:
**- Identify key performance indicators (**KPIs**) and **measure program success.**:
**- Liaise with the business and operational teams to ensure the **product meets business expectations.**:
**- Draft and execute on the plan regarding ACWA's IoT product and industrial roadmap.**:
**- Create a global IoT vision and coordinate **the Internet of Things Go-To-Operations strategies** for new products as well as enhancements of existing products.**:
**- **Propose budget** and **resource allocations.**:
**- **Negotiate commercial agreements** with partners in the industry and manage supplier relationship.**:
**- Managing relationships with **IoT ecosystem stakeholders** to ensure road-map requirements are adopted and delivered.**:
**- **Scouting and evaluating** "future proof" IoT evolutions and **innovations.**:

- Conduct competitive landscaping and **identify company needs to drive new business opportunities** and create disruptive experiences.

Performs work according to professional guidelines within established policies and procedures of the company

Various department heads globally, ACWA Power’s employees across all departments and offices globally

External digital, hardware and software vendors.

Working experience with internal stakeholders like the Board, Management Committee, and function heads. Experience of working with external stakeholders like external providers, consultants, and any 3rd party providers. Collaboration with 3rd party providers and other external providers to create an extended ecosystem of talent.

Influential leader who can lead committee representation, share views and drive collaboration in an environment that has competing priorities.

7. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
**Minimum Qualifications**:

- **3+ years** of experience as **data platform or IoT specialist.**
- **7+ years** of **working** experience.
- **10+ years** of **ICT** working experience.
- Experience in **definition, design, and implementation** of complex **data system** with different technologies.
- Huge experience with basic **data platform technologies** like relational database (e.g.: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle), DDL, SQL, stored procedures non-relational database (e.g.: MongoDB, Cassandra, H2, Redis) time series and in memory database.
- **Design** and **implementation** for **EDW** (Enterprise Data Warehouse).
- **ETL pipelines** and **Hadoop** technologies.
- Proven skills in **UML** and ER design.
- Experience in definition, design, and implementation of complex IoT system with different technologies.
