Branch: Arabian Ranches
Working: 7:15 am to 3.30 pm Monday to Thursday | 7:15 am to 12:15 pm Friday
Holiday Entitlement: 45 Calendar Days to be taken during the school holidays which are published annually.
Reporting to: Director of IT

The role will require the holder to be flexible when booking holidays to ensure cover is provided within the data team for the following:

- Exam results
- Roll over at the end of the academic year
- Start of year set up

Job Scope:
The post holder will work collaboratively as part of the whole school data team. The data team are responsible for the day-to-day management of school data, including the running of the management information system (currently iSAMS) and Power Platform infrastructure, Go4Schools and our web platforms (WordPress) across all 3 schools within the JESS community. He/She should always conduct themselves in an appropriate professional manner to support and foster the aims and Core Values of JESS.

Safeguarding Statement

Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility. All staff working at JESS will have some contact with children and young people and will therefore be in a position of trust. Staff with teaching duties will be responsible for the students that they teach and may also have additional specific pastoral or other responsibilities for other students they do not teach. In addition, all staff will regularly interact with students who may seek assistance or otherwise interact with them whilst moving around the school. In all cases, staff have the responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the students and must adhere to and always ensure compliance with the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and procedures to include whistleblowing and ensure all concerns are immediately passed on to the school’s Designated Safeguarding Officer(s) (DSO).

Main Tasks and Duties

This not an exhaustive list of duties/responsibilities that the post holder will carry out but is illustrative of the general nature and level of responsibility of the role. The postholder may be required to do other duties appropriate to the level of the role, as directed by the Department Head. The responsibilities outlined may be modified by the Department Head, upon mutual agreement, to reflect or anticipate changes in the role:
Management Information Systems:

- To work within the data team to maintain all data platforms across all 3 schools within the JESS community in close consultation with the Director of IT and Network Manager.
- To ensure data integrity of all information, including student records within iSAMS and associated packages.
- Assist in setting and monitor all staff permissions within iSAMS.
- Assist in preparing and importing all baseline testing information to the Schools data platforms for all 3 schools, ensuring it is kept up to date and used efficiently for reporting and analysis.
- Assist in carrying out end of year processes and setup the new academic year as required.
- To work with the IT Tech Team to manage our data platforms support requests.
- To support the monitoring process and ensure the efficient use of all data platforms across all 3 schools.
- To maintain gradebooks, markbooks and reporting templates in our data platforms.
- To work closely with school leaders to ensure that reporting systems are ready in a timely manner for the completion of reports by staff.
- To publish reports to the student and parent portals.
- Maintain and create the SSRS reports used to publish reports to the relevant portals
- Extract analysis of the usage of WordPress and recommend any updates / improvements to the site to fully utilise it as a marketing tool.

WordPress We Platform:

- Manage and maintain the School web platform to ensure it is secure and patches / updates are deployed effectively.
- Monitor the School web platform and carry out any updates or changes to ensure the platform is always available and response times to requests are quick.
- Work with the marketing team to create WordPress templates, pages and install WordPress add-ons as necessary.

Training:

- To undergo training as required, ensuring the skills required to undertake the tasks of the role are always up to date.
- To keep up to date with new modules and functionality for all data and web platforms that are in use at the 3 schools.
- To support training for all new staff that join JESS.

Data Analysis:

- To prepare reports for senior leaders as required on any aspect of the core data held in iSAMS.
- To work closely with the Power BI lead to ensure all data in iSAMS is up to date and available for the Power BI dashboards developed for teacher use.
