Our Legal team takes responsibility for supporting the execution of our company's global business and safeguarding its people, assets and interests. We provide critical legal support across all product companies. We work closely with the business teams and all of the Legal department's functions.

**Partner with the best**

As our Regional Legal Leader you will report directly to the OFSE Region Legal Managing Executive Counsel and functionally to the Baker Hughes MENATI and Saudi Arabia OFSE Region Leaders. You will be leading a team of MENATI and KSA [Saudi Arabia) regional based lawyers and assuring the legal team is covering the “wing to wing” legal and compliance needs of the OFSE BH business units in the regions.

**The Regional Legal Leader will be responsible for**:

- Implementing strategic focus on “legal excellence”:

- strengthening the internal MENATI lawyer expertise and competencies; reducing external legal spend; driving efficiency in commercial contracting and COE work.
- Partnering with MENATI and KSA business to design MENATI legal organization to enable BH business strategy; identifying and mitigating MENATI and KSA risks.
- Leveraging technology to anticipate risk and build legal intelligence
- increase visibility and legal portfolio transparency for MENATI and KSA.
- Supervising and handling the review / negotiate / draft various agreements, including those related to customers, vendors, channel partners, NDA’s, MOU’s.
- Providing advice on matters of local law across MENATI and KSA, in particular on regulatory, HSE, public procurement laws, labor/employment laws, competition laws and integrity laws (anti-bribery and anti-corruption).
- Driving Compliance and Integrity program and working with the compliance team/professionals.
- Working with BH litigation counsel to ensure regional coverage and management by the MENATI team of MENATI litigation, including determination of reserves/accruals and reporting thereof.
- Acting as sr. legal leader focal point for key customer relationships with MENATI and KSA customer legal departments.
- Working with BH corporate entities/governance team to effect efficient regional management of BH MENATI legal entity governance.
- Participating in management and legal support of MENATI channel partners including, but not limited to, due diligence or terminations thereof.
- Working with BH labor counsel to ensure effective management of MENATI related labor, union and employment issues by the MENATI regional legal team supporting closely the BH MENATI country HR team.
- Being responsible for monitoring new legislation and changes to existing legislation which could affect BH MENATI operations.
- Improving legal related processes, legal productivity, simplicity, and standardization proactively.
- Collaborating effectively in a diverse, matrixed organization.
- Promoting effective teamwork and coverage between the regional team and other MENATI based “functional” and “IET product-company” lawyers. Collaborating effectively in a diverse, matrixed organization

**Fuel your passion**

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a Law Degree from a regional MENATI accredited law school
- Be Fluent in Arabic speaking and writing; ability to conduct all manner of business and work requirements in the Arabic language
- Be Fluent in English speaking and writing; ability to conduct all manner of business and work requirements in the English language
- Have a minimum of 10 years of legal experience in-house or in a law firm; with at least 4 years of the experience MENATI-based
- Have Licensed active bar membership in a MENATI jurisdiction

**Desired Characteristics**:

- Have Hands-on" experience on commercial matters and supporting business leadership teams.
- Have experience managing legal team members.
- Have experience in advising on regional specific corporate compliance and regulatory matters.
- Have ability to provide creative and compliant solutions while juggling multiple priorities.
- Have Oil and Gas industry services experience.
- Have Strong oral and written communication and leadership skills - both Arabic and English skill-set.
- Have strong commitment to integrity, excellence and professionalism.
- Have vision and sound judgment in providing legal advice and solutions.
- Have ability to work in complex, diverse international environment - and ability to motivate team / employees.
