Sales Development Representative

Introduction:
As the research and analysis division of the Economist Group, The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) helps leaders prepare for opportunity, empowering them to act with confidence when making strategic decisions. The EIU is the global standard in providing high quality, actionable intelligence to the public and private sector, assessing issues that impact the businesses in more than two hundred countries.
Currently we are seeking a career hungry, motivated individual to join a growing and winning team that is changing the way organizations view global politics, policy implementation and macro forecasting. Based in Dubai, as an Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for the promotion and development of our bespoke analysis and research solutions to the financial sector.
The EIU is the business solution which powers the Economist's forecasting capabilities. In this role you will be responsible for the front end of the sales cycle, generating sales leads and pitching to key decision makers in a variety of roles, across key sector target areas such as pensions, insurance, asset managers and banks. Your audience already knows the brand. You need to ask questions to learn about their current information needs and match why the EIU is the world's #1 business solution.
Accountabilities:
**How you will contribute**:
- Exceed targets through: working within a predefined industry or geographical territory
- Contribute to quarterly sales revenue targets of at least £125k in new business sales
- Generating leads and managing a pipeline that delivers on its annual revenue and gross profit targets
- Promoting the unique skills of the Economist network at all times

An understanding of how to solve problems and a proven ability to engage with C-level decision makers and present value in multiple solutions across multiple buying points to companies
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding daily, weekly and monthly activity KPI's
- Hunter Mentality - passionate about developing new business through a multi channelled approach
- Comfortable selling syndicated data and report solutions
- Strong client interaction skills - considerable experience of working with both internal and external clients and in preparing and conducting sales presentations to Senior Management
- Value-based new business sales skills
- The ability to map and approach key companies in a designated territory
- Good written communication skills and excellent presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong PC skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
