Role Summary:
The Head of Brand will be responsible for the strategic oversight and management of DMCC's comprehensive brand portfolio, including the mother brand, as well as high-profile destination and community brands such as Uptown Dubai and Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT).
This role ensures that the DMCC brand portfolio aligns with the organization's mission to drive global trade, innovation, and sustainable community development. The Head of Brand will collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and strategic partners to ensure brand cohesion and market impact. Additionally, the Head of Brand will lead creative and content strategy and production to ensure high-impact engagement with DMCC's audiences and stakeholders, guiding the expansion and alignment of brand presence across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute robust brand strategies for DMCC, its industry ecosystems, as well as real estate and community brands, ensuring they reflect DMCC's vision and elevate brand presence globally.
- Lead initiatives to position DMCC and its sub-brands as industry leaders, aligning brand messaging with broader business objectives.
- Oversee brand guidelines to ensure consistent application across all channels, both online and offline.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business units and senior stakeholders to launch and amplify new brand initiatives and properties within the DMCC portfolio.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for brand performance and regularly evaluate success against these metrics.
- Incorporate customer insights and feedback to continuously refine and align brand strategies with market demands.
- Establish frameworks for creating and developing new brands within DMCC's portfolio, from initial concept through market launch.
- Drive global trademarking initiatives to ensure comprehensive intellectual property protection across international markets.
- Lead and manage trademarking and intellectual property processes for all brands, coordinating with legal teams and external agencies to secure and protect brand assets.
- Design and oversee marketing content strategies tailored to multiple target audiences, including investors, businesses, and residents, ensuring a cohesive narrative across platforms.
- Ensure all content strategies are optimized for digital-first audiences, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance engagement.
- Drive high-quality content production across diverse channels (websites, social media, email, print, and advertising), maintaining a unified tone and message.
- Manage and grow DMCC's content capacity, sourcing and supervising agencies, freelancers, and in-house content teams as needed to support a dynamic content ecosystem.
- Partner closely with marketing, digital, events, and PR teams to integrate brand strategies across campaigns and channels, ensuring a seamless brand experience.
- Maintain consistency of brand narratives across digital, physical, and experiential platforms.
- Ensure brand and content alignment within broader marketing efforts, including event activations, digital campaigns, and public relations, to create cohesive, high-impact campaigns.
- Work in tandem with Corporate Communications to ensure that all messaging across internal and external communications aligns with DMCC's brand strategy.
- Support DMCC's communications initiatives by embedding brand values and voice consistently across all communications touchpoints.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of content, creative, and social media professionals, fostering an innovative and collaborative team environment.
- Guide team members' growth and performance, encouraging excellence and creativity in all brand and content initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor global and regional market trends, identifying opportunities to strengthen DMCC's brand positioning and relevance.
- Utilize advanced analytics and market research tools to identify innovative branding opportunities and measure campaign effectiveness.
- Innovate and evolve brand campaigns and content to stay ahead of industry trends, enhancing DMCC's engagement with key audiences across markets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in brand strategy, brand management and content strategy, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing complex brand portfolios within B2B, real estate, community, or mixed-use environments.
- Demonstrated success in brand-building initiatives and content strategy across multiple markets.
- Knowledge of trademarking, intellectual property management, and legal processes related to brand protection. Proficiency in brand management and creative tools
- Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for brand-related insights and campaigns.
- Familiarity with digital analytics platforms. Basic understanding of video production is a plus.
