Senior Capture and Bid Manager – Select Auto

Al-Futtaim Automotive occupies the pre-eminent position of the largest distributor of automotive products in the UAE, and leads the rapid development of automobile business in the UAE while continuing to contribute to their brands worldwide growth.

Select Auto, part of Al-Futtaim Automotive Group, has been set up to deliver the regional requirements of Oil & Gas, EPC, NGO and Defence clients around the globe, with emphasis on remote and emerging expeditionary markets. Select Auto supplies heavy construction equipment, MHE, vehicles, generators and maintenance services. It is the single point of contact for customers of this profile in these emerging markets and will operate as an internal customer for the other automotive group companies wishing to expand into remote locations.

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Capture and Bid Manager for our Select Auto operations, this position will be based in Dubai.

The Senior Capture and Bid Manager is responsible for the complete Sales Process, from Sales Capture (ITT or RfP or unsolicited bid) through to the submission of a winning bid. This includes accurately costing the potential contract, gaining Company (Select Auto and, as appropriate, Investment Committee) approvals in a timely manner.

Main duties will include the following:

  1. Develop and maintain an end-to-end, integrated bid management process.
  2. Liaising with subject matter experts from other areas of Select Auto and the broader Al Futtaim Group to gather market intelligence.
  3. Understanding the requirements for each proposal, working closely with the Operations and Support teams.
  4. With Select Auto General Managers, assess the risks in undertaking the contract, including recording mitigations and assess likely financial impact of risks if they materialise.
  5. Understanding and presenting to prospective clients.

To apply for this role you should have the following skills, experiences, knowledge and qualifications:

  1. BSc Business Administration, MBA or equivalent experience in relevant industry.
  2. At least 5 years' experience in all stages of Bid Management/Bid Writing process, of which at least 3 years have been in a Bid Manager role.
  3. Demonstrated success in preparing and delivering successful bids.
  4. Excellent knowledge of Programme Management.
  5. Excellent knowledge/experience of Project Management, Contract Management, submission of project quotations/proposals and commercial management.
  6. Preferably Government (US and non-US), UN, NGO and maritime bid management experience, ideally gained through experience in working for similar companies or clients.
  7. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
