  • Prepare annual income &deferred tax calculation and operation revenuereturns.
  • Review income and deferred taxprovisions.
  • Ensure reconciliation of tax datawith SAP and financial statements.
  • Ensure allrebates and claims are followed and refunds obtained in a timelymanner.
  • Provide internal tax advisory services,training, and support on business operationalmatters.
  • Providing guidance and advice toFinance team, Contract Engineers and Buyers on the most appropriatetax structuring in contracts, both general andspecific.
  • Assess Transfer Pricerisks.
  • Update all concerned parties on any newtax regulations & enforce related actionplan.
  • Design and disseminate tax informationand guides to company personnel including but not limited toFinance and miscellaneous budgetholders.
  • Handle All taxes issues related tomergers, acquisitions & divestment & propose costrelated savings.
  • Liaise with tax consultant& external auditor for any taxissues.
  • Perform tax Activity and Entity LevelControls.
  • Lead and coordinate ad-hoc tax drivenbusiness initiatives.

VAT:Identify and manage VAT risk. Act as the day-to-daycontact between different departments with respect to VAT advisorymatters and compliance.

  • Prepare, validate and submit allrequired VAT returns, supporting schedules and anydocumentation/responses as may be required by the Tax Authoritiesacross MEA Region for all the legal entities of theHub.
  • Implement VAT principles, policies, andprocesses to ensure completion and compilation of VAT mechanismacross the hub.
  • Ensure compliance of VAT datacollection (including the goods import data from the Customs),review, consolidation, preparation, and payment of quarterly VATliability.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation ofthe VAT & Customs balances with the General Ledger andmaintain the documentation.
  • Coordinate withother affiliates and the IT to setup the VAT inSAP.
  • Providing guidance and advice to Financeteam on the booking of invoices with the appropriate VATcode.
