Process all reservation requests, changes,and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail. Identify guestreservation needs and determine appropriate room type. Verifyavailability of room type and rate. Explain guarantee, specialrate, and cancellation policies to callers. Accommodate anddocument special requests. Answer questions about propertyfacilities/services and room accommodations. Follow salestechniques to maximize revenue. Input and access data inreservation system. Indicate special room reservation types (e.g.,complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent inspectionrates, and wholesale reservations) by inputting the correct codeand rate into the reservation system. Follow proper escalationprocedures when addressing guest concerns.
