Roles and responsibilities

1. Customer ServiceExcellence

  • GuestEngagement: Interacting with guests to ensure theirneeds are met and addressing any concernspromptly.
  • Personalization:Recognizing repeat guests and offering personalized services basedon preferences.
  • ComplaintResolution: Handling guest complaints or concerns ina calm and professional manner to ensuresatisfaction.

2.Leadership and TeamManagement

  • StaffSupervision: Assisting in managing the lounge team,including servers, bartenders, and otherstaff.
  • Training andDevelopment: Training new staff and helping developexisting team members to improveservice.
  • Motivation:Encouraging the team to maintain high levels of service and workcollaboratively.
  • Scheduling:Assisting with creating and managing staff schedules to ensureproper coverage.

3.Operations and OrganizationalSkills

  • Barand Lounge Management: Overseeing daily operations,including stock control, inventory management, and orderingsupplies.
  • Efficiency:Ensuring smooth operations during peak hours, maintaining servicequality, and optimizingworkflows.
  • AdministrativeTasks: Assisting in reporting, budgeting, andmanaging lounge resourceseffectively.
  • Safety andCompliance: Ensuring all health, safety, and alcoholservice regulations are followed in thelounge.

4. FinancialManagement

  • Budgetingand Cost Control: Assisting with managing thelounge's budget, controlling costs, and maximizingprofitability.
  • RevenueManagement: Monitoring sales and recommending waysto increase revenue, such as through upselling or creatingpromotions.
  • CashHandling: Ensuring the accuracy of transactions andmanaging cash, credit card payments, andtips.

5. CommunicationSkills

  • ClearCommunication: Effectively communicating with bothguests and the team, ensuring smoothservice.
  • ConflictResolution: Addressing any issues that arise in aprofessional and solution-orientedmanner.
  • InterdepartmentalCoordination: Communicating with other departments(e.g., kitchen, front office) to ensure seamlessservice.

Desired candidate profile

We areseeking an individual who will be assisting the Operations Managerin making sure that highest standards and quality are achievedthroughout the operations. Past success in driving departmentalKPI's focusing on Guest, People, Product and Profit isvital in this role. You will engage and motivate colleagues throughtraining, coaching and strong communication whilst overseeing theprofitability of thedepartment.

AboutYou

The ideal candidate musthave a minimum 5 years of relevant beach bar experience or otherexperience related to this field. Previous international exposurewith 5-star hotel experience is preferred.
