The Opportunity


We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and organised individual to support and drive marketing and business development initiatives across the Middle East and the wider international department.


Reporting to the Business Development and Marketing Manager in Dubai, this role will suit someone looking to develop broad marketing and business development skills.

Part of a 30 person Marketing team across the firm's UK and international offices, this role will work closely with the partners, lawyers and business support based across the Middle East to help deliver the firm's business and marketing plans.

In particular, this role will involve responsibility for delivering engaging roundtables, seminars and other large client and hospitality events.

What you will be doing

Marketing strategy:
Work closely with the partners and the Dubai based manager to implement marketing plans. Conduct marketing research to enable connections into new target markets.

Event management:
Plan, manage and attend events and conferences as part of the firm's marketing and BD campaigns.

Marketing communications and campaign management:

Assist in executing campaigns, including formatting digital and printed materials to the firm's house style; promote content through traditional and digital channels including website, mail-outs, brochures, podcasts, video, webinars and social media.


Digital and social media:

Assist in implementing social media strategies and support with the production and coordination of content for the firm's social media channels.

Publish content and make amendments to the website and intranet.

Legal directories:
Assist with the preparation and coordination of the legal directory submissions and interviews.

Bids:

Input into bids, pitches and capability statements for clients and targets including compiling and drafting track record and other information on the firm.


Administration:
Budget, production of reports, diary, travel and expenses management.

What you will need

  • Minimum of 1218 months marketing or equivalent experience in a professional services or equivalent B2B environment desirable.
  • Marketing or business degree or equivalent desirable.
  • A desire to learn about businesses and sectors to support business development.
  • Good oral and written communication skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work outside of office hours and travel in the region particularly when running events.
  • A strong team player; ready to help colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines under pressure; ability to use initiative and work with limited supervision with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Excellent IT skills and competency, and an interest in digital / social media.
  • An ability to operate autonomously with minimum supervision a selfstarter
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • The flexibility to work outside normal hours may be required from time to time
  • Good oral and written communication skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
