Joinery and Fitout Estimator in Dubai, UAE

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Estimation of interior fitout and joinery projects
  • Preparation of bills of quantities
  • Adjudication of contractor's claims (measurement)
  • Estimating and cost control
  • Managing full tender process
  • Interpreting specifications, price tenders, and preparation of contract documents
  • Interpreting and checking drawings, tender documents, quantities and estimates
  • Verifying subcontractor's claims and verification of Quantity Surveyor's calculations progress of work at site and material onsite / offsite
  • Consistently seek new companies to pre
- qualify for inclusion on tender list

  • Develops bid cost estimates for the specified deadlines for submission
  • Reviews and comments on technical and commercial specifications
  • Coordinates with Production department
  • Works with sales to prioritize and periodically review the Bid Calendar to ensure Company is meeting its obligations to submit timely bids
  • Preparing tenders, RFQs, negotiating costs and managing supplier contracts
  • Calculate direct material cost based on 3D renderings and drawings produced by the design department
  • Source suppliers and manage supplier portfolio, including raw materials, finishes, furniture and other stand elements
  • Preparing tenders and communication with suppliers
  • Provide detailed estimate for different projects ranging from custom made products to tender projects.
  • Attend client technical meetings to understand their actual requirement in order to provide an accurate estimate
  • Coordinate with the suppliers to get the competitive price for the material
  • Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements
  • Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or any related course
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the same position
  • Experience in the joinery and fit out industry us a must
  • Experienced in preparing RFQs and tender and bill of quantity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work underpressure
  • Multitasking and prioritization skills

Experience:

  • Joinery and
Fitout Estimation: 3 years (required)

Language:

  • English (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • UAE Driving License (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Dubai (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Dubai: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
