About the Role:

Talent Pal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai. As a key member of our construction and fitout team, you will be responsible for managing cost estimations, budget control, and financial reporting for interior fitout projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
    1. Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates for fitout projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
    2. Ensure project budgets are aligned with client requirements and project scope.
  2. Tendering and Procurement:
    1. Prepare and manage tender documentation and the tendering process.
    2. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids and make recommendations for award.
  3. Contract Administration:
    1. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    2. Monitor contract performance and manage variations and claims.
  4. Cost Control and Financial Reporting:
    1. Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports and forecasts.
    2. Track and manage changes to the project scope, ensuring cost adjustments are reflected accurately.
  5. Site Management and Coordination:
    1. Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure adherence to project specifications and budgets.
    2. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve any cost-related issues.
  6. Risk Management:
    1. Identify and manage risks related to cost and financial performance.
    2. Implement strategies to mitigate financial risks and avoid cost overruns.
  7. Client and Stakeholder Communication:
    1. Maintain effective communication with clients, ensuring their requirements are met and expectations are managed.
    2. Provide expert advice and support to clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g. MRICS, RICS) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying with a focus on fitout projects.
  • Proven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and contract management.
  • Strong knowledge of Dubai's construction and fitout industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
