Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing commercial proposals, analyzing project specifications, and identifying labor, material, and time requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Proposal Preparation: Analyze project specifications and tenders to prepare commercial proposals.
  2. Requirements Identification: Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, specifications, and related documents.
  3. BOQ Preparation: Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in line with project specifications.
  4. Tender Management: Manage all aspects of pre and post tender submissions.
  5. Contractor Negotiation: Negotiate with approved contractors and vendors.
  6. Discrepancy Resolution: Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  7. Estimate Presentation: Present prepared estimates to the Senior QS for further action.
  8. Cost Database Maintenance: Maintain cost databases by entering and backing up data frequently.
  9. Subcontractor Verification: Verify subcontractor claims and Quantity Surveyor calculations of progress at site and material on-site/off-site.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in fit-out estimation in the GCC region.
  2. Education: Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying and Estimation, with thorough knowledge of the Interior Fit-out industry.
  3. Language: Strong knowledge of English, with proficiency in Hindi preferred.
  4. Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of materials related to the fit-out industry and quantification.
  5. FIDIC Knowledge: Familiarity with FIDIC contracts preferred.
  6. Estimation Software: Practical knowledge of estimation software such as Plant Swift preferred.
  7. Research and Negotiation: Good experience in researching, sourcing, negotiating, and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  8. MEP Quantities: Basic knowledge of MEP quantities and MEP costing process.
  9. Network: Having a ready network of fit-out suppliers and subcontractors from the UAE market and overseas.
  10. Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects.
  11. Communication: Effective communication skills and technical knowledge.

NOTE: Fit-out interiors and joinery industry experience is essential.
