Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Senior Communications Manager you will be part of CSM’s Middle East team, contributing to the strategic development and executional delivery of a variety of communication, event marketing activities and brand activations, including press launches, talent and ambassador management, media relations, social media management, content creation, media hosting, internal comms and third party agency, supplier and Rights Holder management.

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the comms (internal and external) workstreams on your account, building solid relationships with clients, mentoring juniors and supporting the senior team. You will report into an Account Director. You will be part of our Brand team based in CSM’s UAE offices, providing Communications services for Abu Dhabi’s biggest B2B brand with partnerships in Marathon, motorsports and cycling.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Overseeing the delivery of internal and external communications campaign in the UAE and globally
  • Undertaking client briefings ahead of media engagements and content capture sessions
  • Management of media activity including photocalls, press conferences and media pitching
  • Building strong relationships with strategic media contacts and managing media partnerships
  • Creating written editorial and social collateral and assets including features, op-eds, and short form content copy
  • Working with CSM’s design studio to brief and produce social media templates and content
  • Create tactical social media plans to amplify activations at international races
  • Drafting internal content to promote initiatives to employees within the HQ and group of companies
  • Supporting team with experiential activities and events (media, employee engagement and broader community engagement)
  • Managing relationships with rightsholder to ensure delivery of contractual rights & benefits

The Skills And Experience You Need

  • A clear passion for sports, motorsport, cycling, athletics
  • 5+ years’ experience in marcomms
  • Understanding of Oil & Gas sector is a benefit
  • Understanding of technology / AI sector is a benefit
  • Leadership and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong experience in account management
  • Ability and confidence to guide and counsel clients
  • Proven team management, development and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to prioritise and delegate
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Ability to build and manage budgets
  • Proven track record of working with photographers and production companies and an understanding of the creative process for visual content creation
  • Solution-focused and hands on approach to communications, using a range of marketing skills including media relations, press release and video content creation, talent handling and event organisation and management
