Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our marketing activation team at Samsung Gulf. The ideal candidate will design data solutions to optimize marketing strategies, drive customer engagement and enhance the overall customer experience. This role will involve analysing vast datasets, developing predictive and other data science models, and collaborating cross-functionally to inform marketing decisions.In line with Samsung’s consumer centric vision, our internal Big Data platforms serves to create an environment that enables data integration, supports innovative analytics, and equips business with tools and educates to effectively use this data. Big Data platform is an environment where all divisional data well is readily available for cross-divisional entities, aims to solve data silos, and supports value creation through data analysis that helps Samsung business growth.
Role and Responsibilities
Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover insights into consumer segments, demographics, and psychographics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and sales, to integrate consumer insights into business strategies and initiatives.
Design and implement experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and product features. Generate actionable recommendations and insights through data visualization, reports, and presentations.
Create an environment for combining and analyzing data between divisions and contributes to expanding and discovering services that fit the consumer needs.
Key custodian of business-related data who expands the culture of Data Utilization. Encourage employees to backup
hypotheses/campaigns/strategies
with data while making business related decisions
Measure Customer lifetime Value for our existing base and provide regular insights to business and marketing teams
Leveraging big data analytics tools and techniques to extract meaningful insights from large datasets related to consumer behaviour. Your insights will inform strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
Preparing dashboards that provides visualizations focusing on Samsung data by day, country, or function for regular reporting.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics / Applied Mathematics/ Data Science / Computer Science, Operations Research or other closely related scientific or technical discipline.Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency in SQL, Python and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.5-7 years Consumer data analytics experience; Four (4) years relevant experience in applied research, big data analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, operations research or other closely related other quantitative or mathematical discipline. At least two (2) years of experience applied data science research or big data analytics.Demonstrable expertise in data analytics, specifically in revenue optimization and predictive modeling, with a proven track record of driving business growth through data insightsResearch Acumen: Extensive experience with various research methodologies and a solid grasp of statistical sampling methods. Must possess a strong knowledge of research methodologies and advance level Microsoft Excel expertise is a must * Please visit Samsung membership
