In this pivotal & exciting category role on Hardlines, you'll manage commercial licensing activities, focusing on Toys, Back to School, Stationery, and Consumer Electronics. Your mission is to implement & execute robust business strategies, foster key relationships, and drive sales growth, maximizing the retail presence of Disney products significantly across demographics & retailers in the Middle East.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with the Category Head of Hardlines to devise and execute sales strategies for Toys, Back to School, Stationery and Consumer Electronics, achieving quarterly and yearly targets.
- Innovate and expand the new business pipeline, leveraging Disney's key brands across various demographics and product categories.
- Conduct compelling sales conversations, pitching business prospects across Toys, Back to School, Stationery and Consumer Electronics.
- Harness the potential of Disney's IP’s to forge new retail channels through strategic partnerships and activations.
- Foster relationships within the retail and consumer goods industry, creating fresh distribution channels for Disney products.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Design and Marketing teams, identifying new business opportunities and developing prospecting strategies for Hardlines.
- Support Key Account Management, cultivating engagement, and joint business planning with licensees.
- Monitor business/sales, liaise with licensees, and coordinate with internal teams for contract, finance, and legal processes.
- Work closely with the Marketing team for effective promotion and sales maximization.
- Maintain data accuracy through Salesforce and manage a new business tracker.
**Areas of Accountability**:
- Answerable to the Category Head for Hardlines in the MENA region.
- Responsible for achieving annual performance commitments, KPIs, and financial royalty revenues.
- Oversee relationship engagement, partnership, and joint business planning with local MENA accounts.
- Accountable for the AOP and quarterly and monthly forecasting process.
- Operate with speed, adaptability, and a sense of urgency in a dynamic retail environment.
**Requirements**:
- Background in brand management, buying, licensing
- Preferably experienced in toys buying, product development, marketing
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Proven retail experience in consumer products management and building effective cross-departmental collaborations
- Commercial acumen with the ability to analyze data and implement practical conclusions
- Agility to identify new opportunities and partners swiftly
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
- Strong digital, social, and brick-and-mortar marketing acumen
- Excellent strategic problem-solving and innovation skills
- Exceptional planning and organizational capabilities
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to achieve buy-in at all levels
- Fluency in English & Arabic
