The Assistant Banquet Manager's responsible for assisting the Banquet Operations Manager in running the operation, management and overall performance of Banquets. All work is carried out in line with the Hotels guidelines, and Radisson Blu corporate guidelines and service concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Banquet manager in establishing service standards and procedures for Banquet and assures that they are achieved and followed by proper training, supervision and control.
Works proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries . Maintain a check list to ensure all areas are inspected and faults are corrected. Checks constantly operating equipment and linen to maintain standard required.
Delivers on plans and objectives where banqueting initiatives & hotel targets are achieved .
Motivate and develops staff on a continuous basis to achieve an overall maximum efficiency.
Manages the banqueting team fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the department . Assist in the Manager in the controls and analyses, on an on-going basis the following
Quality levels of production.
Guest satisfaction.
Merchandising and marketing.
Operating costs.
Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders . Adheres to all policies and procedures as per the Dubai Code of Conduct and Radisson Blu Code of Ethics.
Establishes and delivers effective programmes that advance service standards, profitability and cost control . Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required . Requirements:
Work in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others by applying hotel regulations, and adhering to existing laws and regulations
Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance and body language.
Proven experience in banquets with excellent problem-solving capabilities
Excellent managerial skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style . Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry . Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations
