As a Purchasing Coordinator at Sawaeed Holding, you will play a critical role in our project procurement process. You will be responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment for construction, MEP, FM, and transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement within the construction, MEP, or transportation industries and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management:
  • Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers for construction materials, MEP components, and transportation equipment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure competitive pricing, quality products, and timely delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
  • Procurement Coordination:
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and procurement needs.
  • Prepare purchase orders, RFQs (Request for Quotation), and RFPs (Request for Proposal) based on project specifications and requirements.
  • Track and monitor procurement activities, including order placement, delivery schedules, and inventory levels.
  • Supply Chain Management:
  • Manage the supply chain process, including inventory management, logistics coordination, and material handling.
  • Collaborate with logistics providers to optimize transportation routes, minimize lead times, and reduce transportation costs.
  • Proactively identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
  • Cost Control and Budget Management:
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures related to procurement activities.
  • Analyze pricing trends, market conditions, and cost-saving opportunities to optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Work closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate invoicing and payment processing.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor communications.
  • Assist in conducting supplier performance evaluations and quality audits as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Coordinator or similar role in the construction, MEP, FM, or transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and vendor negotiations.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, MEP components, and transportation equipment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
