Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly accurate Estimator specializing in aluminum and glazing façade works. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, analyzing technical documents, and supporting the commercial and technical aspects of façade projects. This role requires strong industry knowledge, excellent analytical abilities, and the capability to coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure competitive and precise tender submissions.

Primary ResponsibilitiesEstimation & Costing

  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for aluminum and glass façade systems, including material, manpower, equipment, and associated overheads.
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.

Tender & Document Review

  • Study project drawings, tender packages, BOQs, and specifications to assess scope, requirements, and potential challenges.
  • Identify discrepancies, clarify ambiguities, and highlight areas requiring further information.

Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination

  • Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to collect updated prices for profiles, glass types, accessories, hardware, and installation activities.
  • Evaluate quotations to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with project specifications.

Proposal Preparation

  • Compile complete technical and commercial submissions, including pricing sheets, clarifications, alternatives, methodologies, and timelines.
  • Prepare cost summaries, value engineering proposals, and comparative analyses.

Technical & Design Support

  • Work with engineering and design departments to verify drawings and recommend more economical or efficient design options where possible.
  • Provide support during technical meetings with consultants and clients.

Project Handover Support

  • Provide detailed budgets and cost information to the project team once a job is awarded.
  • Assist in reviewing project variations, changes, and cost updates.

Risk & Market Analysis

  • Evaluate risks related to design variations, material price volatility, and site conditions.
  • Stay informed about new products, façade technologies, suppliers, and market pricing trends within the UAE and GCC region.

Internal Collaboration

  • Coordinate closely with estimation, design, procurement, and project departments to ensure alignment on pricing and project goals.

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of estimation experience in aluminum, glazing, or façade systems within the UAE or GCC markets.
  • Strong background working on residential, commercial, and mixed-use façade projects.

Technical Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of aluminum profiles, system configurations, glazing specifications, and façade hardware.
  • Proficient in estimation tools, MS Excel, and measurement techniques.
  • Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent numerical and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication abilities for internal coordination and client interactions.
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
