A Senior Sales Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the sales strategy and team within an organization. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, strategic thinking, and in-depth market knowledge. Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business goals and increase revenue.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
- Create short- and long-term sales plans, setting measurable targets for the sales team.
- Collaborate with senior management to align sales strategies with company objectives and goals.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, manage, and motivate a sales team, ensuring they are equipped to meet performance targets.

Sales Performance Management

Customer Relationship Management

- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure that the sales team has the support and resources needed to succeed.
- Provide insights and feedback from customers to influence product development, marketing campaigns, and other business strategies.
- Collaborate with finance and legal departments on pricing strategies, contract terms, and credit management.
Market and Industry Analysis
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging markets, and competitor activities to remain competitive.
- Conduct regular market research to identify new opportunities and inform sales strategies.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to stay connected with key players in the market.
Reporting and Forecasting
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior management, providing insights into sales performance and market conditions.
- Analyze sales data to identify patterns, trends, and potential areas of improvement.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all sales reports, providing actionable insights for strategy refinement.

- Evaluate employee performance and identify training needs.
- Prepare daily reports on sales activities, showroom traffic, and stock updates.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing, finance, and suppliers.
