As aSushi Roller at Sushi Art Restaurant you will be responsible forcrafting highquality sushi and other Japanese culinary delightswith precision and creativity. This rolerequires proficiency in sushi preparation adherence to food safetystandards and collaboration with the kitchen team to maintain thehighest level of culinaryexcellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparea variety of sushi rolls nigiri sashimi and other sushi dishesfollowing the restaurants recipes andstandards.
  • Usefresh and highquality ingredients to ensure the best flavor andpresentation.
  • Safelyhandle and store raw fish and other ingredients in compliance withfood safetyregulations.
  • Utilizeexpert sushi rolling techniques to create visually appealing andwellconstructed sushirolls.
  • Arrangesushi on plates or platters in an attractive and artisticmanner.
  • Conductquality checks on all sushi dishes to ensure they meet therestaurants standards for taste texture andpresentation.
  • Addressany issues with sushi quality or presentation promptly to maintainexcellence.
  • Optimizefish yield and portioning to minimize waste and maximize the use ofingredients.
  • Complywith all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure safehandling of fooditems.
  • Followproper handwashing sanitation and cleaning procedures in accordancewith health and safetystandards.
  • Workclosely with the kitchen team to coordinate sushi preparation andensure timely service during busyperiods.
  • Communicateeffectively with other kitchen staff and servers to ensure smoothoperations.
  • Stayupdated with the restaurants menu and any changes or additions tosushiofferings.
  • Beprepared to answer customer inquiries about sushi ingredients andpreparationmethods.

  • Assistin other kitchen areas when required to support the overall kitchenoperations.

  • Completekitchen forms such as inventory requisitions temperature logs andproduction sheets asneeded.
  • Anticipatepotential rushes or increased demand and prepare backup ingredientsto avoid delays inservice.

Requirements
  • SushiExpertise: Demonstrated proficiency in sushi rolling techniques andfamiliarity with various types of sushidishes.
