Position Overview:

The Captain for the A350/A380 aircraft is entrusted with the utmost responsibility for the safety and security of all individuals on board, including crew members, passengers, and cargo.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safe operation of the aircraft from the initial taxiing phase until the aircraft is securely parked and the engines are shut down.
  • Ensure thorough familiarity with all relevant regulations, documentation, and briefing materials pertaining to the flight route, destination, and alternate airfields.
  • Exercise authority to issue commands deemed necessary for maintaining the safety of the aircraft and its occupants.
  • Possess the discretion to disembark any individual or cargo that may pose a risk to safety.
  • Guarantee compliance with operational checklists by all crew members throughout all phases of flight operations, including abnormal and emergency situations.
  • Implement and adhere to the procedures and checklists provided by the manufacturer as approved for use by the airline.
  • In emergency situations requiring immediate action, take necessary measures that may deviate from standard procedures in the interest of safety.
  • Operate the aircraft in accordance with all Operational Manuals.
  • Ensure all passengers comply with lawful commands to secure the safety of the aircraft.
  • Manage fuel consumption efficiently in line with company policies.
  • Maintain punctuality and ensure on-time performance.
  • Foster customer awareness and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7000 hours of total flying experience.
  • At least 2500 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on multi-crew, glass cockpit jet aircraft.
  • A minimum of 2000 PIC hours on any Airbus wide-body Fly-By-Wire (FBW) aircraft.
  • Valid type rating on any Airbus wide-body FBW aircraft for at least 2 months prior to joining.
  • Current and unrestricted ICAO ATPL.
  • Experience flying any Airbus FBW aircraft within the last 12 months.
  • Unrestricted and current Class 1 medical certification.
  • Must be under the age of 59 at the time of joining.
  • Current Type Rating Examiner (TRE) or Type Rating Instructor (TRI) status is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) at Level 4 or higher.
  • For hours accumulated on flights with inflight relief, 75% of total hours will count towards the required minimums.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting salary of AED 35,200 per month for Captains.
  • Flight duty allowance based on years of service:

1-6 years: AED 50 per block hour

7-10 years: AED 80 per block hour

Meal allowance during layovers as follows:

Middle East/GCC/Subcontinent: AED 12 per hour

Asia/Far East: AED 15 per hour

Africa/Australasia: AED 18 per hour

Europe/Americas: AED 23 per hour

Housing allowance up to AED per year or company-provided housing based on availability.Education allowance of AED 36,000 for primary education and AED 50,400 for secondary education for up to three children.Income protection scheme.42 days of annual leave.Staff travel benefits.End of service benefits.Accidental and life insurance coverage.Please note that the above benefits are subject to change without prior notice.
