Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate, direct, and implement procurement strategies.
  • Monitor and report on essential performance metrics to optimize costs and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Devise negotiation tactics and finalize agreements with favorable conditions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive requirements documentation.
  • Analyze pricing and market trends to detect shifts in buyer-supplier dynamics.
  • Conduct cost and scenario assessments, along with benchmarking.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate potential risks.
  • Engage and collaborate with trustworthy vendors and suppliers.
  • Determine the timing and volume of deliveries.
  • Anticipate and forecast future demand levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 7 years of experience in procurement or a similar field, ideally within the engineering sector.
  • Proficient in understanding the implications of New Product Introductions (NPI) and managing inventory accordingly.
  • Demonstrated ability in team leadership and management.
  • Expertise in demand forecasting.
  • Willingness to engage in a hands-on role encompassing Planning, Procurement, Logistics, 3PL, and International Supply Chain.
  • Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with a history of cultivating high-performing teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the capacity to influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze and project financial trends.
  • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is preferred.
