This is a unique opportunity to join SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA as a Middle East Support Officer - KYC Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end Know Your Customer (KYC) process for all business lines covered in the Middle East region.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate KYC Process: Oversee the prioritization and onboarding process from start to end within the Middle East region, ensuring seamless coordination with various stakeholders.
- Manage KYC Campaigns: Handle KYC Review campaigns on behalf of the Front Office Responsible (FOR), ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients' inquiries regarding the KYC process, providing clear and concise information.
- Document Collection: Collect and consolidate business activities with various bankers/business lines/regions, confirming and validating client deactivations with the Primary Client Relationship Unit (PCRU).
- Quality Control: Ensure the quality of documents submitted by customers, checking that they meet the requirements or proposing alternative solutions.
- Reporting and Presentations: Collect and consolidate data for regular reporting to management and Compliance, preparing presentations for the location regulator or internal inspection when required.
- Process Updates: Ensure internal stakeholders adhere to local processes, recording relevant data for presentation to the region on a weekly basis, raising alerts wherever necessary.
- Ad Hoc Meetings: Participate in ad hoc meetings with Compliance on sensitive/urgent deals, being cooperative and willing to help, anticipating and solving issues.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduate Degree: A Master's degree from an Engineering School or University.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English, with a second language being a plus.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of business processes, including KYC, contract types, and regulatory controls.
- Soft Skills: Client-oriented, ability to interact at any level with clients, cooperation, and negotiation skills.
