Job Title: Design and Estimation Engineer (FireFighting)

This is a full-time on-site role for a Design and Estimation Engineer-Fire alarm & Firefighting at BIN SHABIB GROUP. The Design and Estimation Engineer-Firefighting will be responsible for performing design, estimation, and evaluation of Fire alarm & Firefighting systems. They will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and estimation of fire protection systems, including fire sprinklers, fire detection & alarms, suppression systems, and more.
  • Apply expertise in fire protection engineering principles to ensure compliance with codes (NFPA), standards, and Local regulations.
  • Estimate costs for fire protection system installations, upgrades, and retrofits.
  • Analyse project requirements and specifications to accurately assess material, equipment, labour, and installation costs.
  • Develop detailed and itemized cost estimates for client proposals and internal project planning.
  • Manage the design and estimation phases of fire protection projects, from initial concept to final proposal.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of fire protection systems and timely completion of milestones.
  • Optimize fire protection designs for efficiency, reliability, and safety while considering the unique needs of each project.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of fire protection system designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
  • Prepare technical reports and proposals that convey design rationale, cost breakdowns, and compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct site visits for estimation of fit-out, project, or maintenance jobs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in fire protection systems design and estimation.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional certification in fire protection engineering is a plus.
